ok, i woke up with an ingenius idea...
i crave new stuff, but like a lot of other people (i assume) don't get
to go out to clubs or listen to streaming radio shows, etc. and get
exposed to new stuff. so what i'm thinking of is setting up a mixed cd
exchange kinda thing. what i'll eventually do is make a web app that
picks out random people for you (based on a "taste matrix"-kinda
thingy, location, etc.) but for now it'll just have to be blind. so
what i propose is this... show your interest in participating by
posting a response to this message with your email address. other
people email this said person and they can talk amongst themselves
about tastes, location, etc. hopefully it'll just take off with a kind
of snowball effect. in this email include this subject header so the
recipient knows what the hell you're talking about. c'mon guys, this
idea is failproof! by the way, you're allowed to show your range of
tastes. for example, my first cd will be %50 industrial, %25 indie
rock, %25 ethereal.
