i have 2 suicide films by masami akita - seppuku! and harikari. does
anyone know if masami directed any other suicide films? or where there
might be information on his films, in english or japanese, or
whatever...?

well, it's actors portraying the acts of seppuku and hari-kari (2
ritual forms of suicide) but they are realistic to a fault. 20 minutes
of watching somebody cut themselves open and bleed to death with a
nailed down camera. not really entertainment, more of a curio. i was
told he had directed and produced more than just 2, but i have yet to
find ANY info that backs that claim. thought maybe a rabid merzbow fan
might be in the know.
