With Rhys Fulber working on FLA again, does anyone care? Those last
few albums were absolute crap. Those last few albums were also pretty
much Bill Leeb solo(which is just a bad idea.) The re-introduction of
Fulber in the group may be good. Now if only Rhys could collaborate
with someone with talent on some aggro electronic stuff.

Honestly, the last couple FLA records were a lot better than FLAvor
of the weak and it's 2 predecessors. They are getting better, but
whether they'll go back to the bad days of metal riff sampling and
shite out is to be seen....As for Rhys, ConjureOne was very well
done, and I'd like to see Rhys continue on that track...

That is a good point.
Hard Wired is an incredible album.

Though I also think that Epitaph (fitting in as a sample of recent FLA
work) pales in comparison to Flavour of the Weak. *shrug*

See, I'm on the exact other end of the spectrum, but then again,
Nihil and Symbols are my fave KMFDM albums and I can't stand Xtort
(which seemed to be widely popular). Same thing with Puppy, hated
most of Rabies and Process, but love Last Rights, VV6, and TDP...

All your comments on Skinny Puppy do is to place you on the "good taste"
side of the spectrum! :)

xtort is fun, because it's mostly very silly, even though Nihil is
probably the peak of KMFDM's technical ability (both musically and
production-wise). i'm indifferent to symbols however. when it first came
out, i was all 'bout it, then i hated it, but years later, i've given it
a second chance.

skuppy, on the other hand, its the musical equivalent of raw sewage.

Although you meant for it to be demeaning, that's actually a very cool
description.. and if I didn't like a lot of skinny puppy, it would probably
spark my interested positively.

it is demeaning, because any talent in the band (i.e., dwayne) is not
only dead, but was functionally muted in their work. the kevins have no
actual musical ability OR creativity between them, and are even more
burned out than grampa al, which is impressive in a sad way.

additionally, we cannot forget kevin crompton's personal attacks on
jerrad's character and empty threats of physical harm.

And yet you chose "sewage" which is an uber experimental way to describe
something. He actually has a valid point ... I'd be curious why you so
violently liked it. And if you had said, "the new album sounds like
dead cats" or "I wanted to stick needles in my eyes over and over
again", I'd be googling samples right now instead of wasting time with a
reply.

I think if you want to turn us off something, just stick to calling it
"future pop", "synthpop like", or even "normal". *shivering*

As for musical ability, are you suggesting cevin key doesn't have any
musical talent or creativity??!!??

Actually it is my understanding that there will be no more FLA and
that El Leebo is going to continue with Delerium, but leave FLA alone
and retire it, Personally FLA had some good moments, but I think
Fulber has definatly outshined FLA with Conjure One and as a producer
for Fear Factory, I think FLA had some good stuff, but they never
really did do anything that made them stand out from the other legions
of electro industrial bands, ....
