Has anyone seen the Delerium tour yet? Reviews? I'm debating on going in
Chicago but would like to hear a bit more about it.

Thanks

It was awesome. Well worth the $15 it cost us here in San Diego. I
don't know how the band can make any money supporting that many
performers, at that ticket price...

Bill and Rhys were extremely humble, didn't even take a bow after the
show. They played in the wings the whole time, leaving the spotlight
for the singers (a total of 4, but 2 primarily, including Kristy Thirsk
and another whose name escapes me but was quite easy on the eyes) and
the occasional guitar "solo".

The live drums really made this show great, IMO. It gave it some
serious energy--I thought it was going to be pretty sedate, but it was
far from it. Go see 'em!

Don't know how we managed to luck out and get them booked here in Tucson,
but I definitely agree.

Interesing comparing the FLA show I saw to Delerium. JayJules is exactly
right -- Leeb and Fulber leave the performance to their singers: Chemda
(sp?) for Conjure One, and Kristy Thirsk & Shelley Harland for Delerium.
Chemda also did one song for Delerium.

I've been a Kristy Thirsk fan for a while, but even without my bias, I
think I can safely say she is a performer. Incredible voice, and lots of
fun to watch. The girl has energy! She stole the show in Tucson.

Adrian White played the drums, who also played at the FLA show I saw, and
he is a very good drummer.

If you're a Leeb/Fulber fan, it's definitely worth the ticket.

I can't guesstimate well, but probably a few hundred.

personally, i thought the show was great, considering the fact that
the singers available even had to emulate sinead o'connor and sarah
mclachlan in their songs--but i guess my opinion won't really
influence you much because i went to the last show of the tour :P

speaking of which, of everybody who went--did they play a really heavy
techno-type song at the end as an encore? i mean above and beyond
anything delerium or conjure one sounds like. they did so here in ATL
after playing "run for it" but i do not recognize the song they
played, though it kicked ass...the crowd was pretty sedate for most of
the show, but that song had everybody moving.

anybody have any idea what i'm talking about?

Might be "Incantation" from Semantic Spaces. That was their final song of
their encore at the Tucson show, and could be the one from the way you
describe it.

that's definitely the song i had in mind, though i think i liked it
better live. i didn't recognize it because i had always passed over
"semantic spaces" thinking it was a remix album or something, but i
see i was very wrong. it's now on my list of cds to acquire. thank
you very much!
