Drum and Bass without the MC

I just got back from a small drum and bass show that had a bunch of
DJs, but unfortunately also had an MC comping the whole time (you know,
"are you ready for some sh*t?", "raise the roof!" , "let me here some
f*cking noise!"). I just want to hear the DJ, dude.

I guess maybe if I knew a little more jargon I wouldn't have this
problem. Is there some code to knowing when a DNB show is NOT going to
have an MC the whole time? Are certain types of DNB less likely to
have an MC?

i know how you feel. mc's seem to ruin the dj's
performance. the worst thing about mc's is that they
seem to think that vulgarity is cool.

i know in shows around here, it usually states
if an mc will be present...if there is, i normally
avoid the show.
