Hi all,

I hope you don't mind the mass bulletin but it's been a while since I
posted one and I wanted to say hi before we head off on the North
American tour.

As you probably know (some of you don't, as I discovered recently) that
VNV Nation are about to head off on the Formation Tour of North America
starting this Friday (May 6th) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida before
heading off all over the US, to Canada and rounding up in Mexico city
at the end of June.

All the dates and info for the shows can be found on our website,
Metropolis Records website or our Myspace page. It's going to be our
longest tour in North America and we're really looking forward to it.

We have a new stage show and an expanded line up on stage.
Unfortunately, one of our keyboarders Vasi had to bail out shortly
before the tour after being diagnosed with a semi-collapsed lung but is
recovering well. We are happy to say that our old friend Christian from
Icon of Coil will stand in for him for the first few weeks of the tour
and Vasi is making a good recovery and should be able to make it for
the last few weeks of the tour.

We've many new songs to play and, of course, we'll be playing a good
selection of older tracks. The big special we have planned is that at
all the LA area shows, both San Fran and both NYC shows we will be
playing completely different set lists on each night. None of the set
lists will be the same as the other shows on the tour. We want to play
as much as possible on each of these nights so that fans can get to
hear songs we're not playing as part of the normal set on this tour as
well as songs they have rarely or never heard performed live. Instead
of playing the songs everyone wants on both nights we're spreading them
out over each of the shows so the sets will be a good mix of VNV
material going back 10 years. We did this at one show on the Euro tour
and as anyone who was there can attest, we played some songs that no
one expected including 2 that sent people into a frenzy. Let's see what
happens this time...

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is all for the moment.

We hope to see you at one of the shows on the tour.

Best wishes,
Ronan

|Hi all,

Hi Ronan,

|I hope you don't mind the mass bulletin but it's been a while since I
|posted one and I wanted to say hi before we head off on the North
|American tour.

Oh ... have a nice trip. Normally I prefer my letters in my personal
mailbox, but under these circumstances I'll forgive you. Thanks for the
letter anyway. The guy who passed on your letter forgot to include your
reply-address, so I hope you don't mind if I reply through the very same
channel.

Well, you wrote it before ... what do you want? I wished you a nice trip
already.

|We have a new stage show and an expanded line up on stage.

Who cares? Well, the Americans who are going to see you probably will
care, but I certainly don't. Why do you bother me with that crap?

|Unfortunately, one of our keyboarders Vasi had to bail out shortly

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Tell him my best wishes.

Vasi should better stay home for a full recovery. I'm sure, Christian
can do his lousy synth parts pretty well, Icon of Coil is such a boring
band, he must fit in very well.

|We've many new songs to play and, [...]

Bla bla bla ... why do you tell me all that crap? I'm not going to see
you on that tour.

|And that, ladies and gentlemen, is all for the moment.

Thank God. There was nothing important in your letter. Next time
you're in a hurry just wait until after the tour with writing letters to
me. Then at least you could have told something interesting about what
went on in America.

|We hope to see you at one of the shows on the tour.

You won't. Did you really expect me to travel to America or what?
In case you didn't notice, I was not on the Euro tour either. Could it
be that you didn't mean to sent this letter to me at all?

|Best wishes,
|Ronan

Whatever ... eh ... thanks, write back soon.

CU,
Locke

to put this in the right context, this was a bulletin posted on myspace,

Now if I get it right, it's like RMI is a friend of VNV but VNV is not a
friend of RMI.
