Eh. Seems alright, I guess. Though they need to give way more credit
to Throbbing Gristle, et al. I mean, they invented it and it's what I
would call REAL industrial, as opposed to Dance Industrial. To say it
doesn't sound like industrial is to say Black Sabbath doesn't sound like
heavy metal.

The other thing that's missing is so-called future pop bands like VNV,
Apop, etc. I hate that music, and really hesitate to call it
industrial, but it deserves to be listed, I suppose.

Whatev....

I used to love browsing through the old DU catalogs and marveling over the
genre names-- I mean, not only did people coin 'em, use 'em and understand
'em, but there had to be a least a few people that were fans of each,
surely.

And, BTW, I am _not_ surrendering the perfectly good genre name "electro"
to a bunch of hip-hoppers.

you couldn't even if you wanted to, they were spinning kraftwerk records at
their block parties when 'industrial' meant nothing more than banging on pots
and pans.

That's not even funny. Ekseption kicked ELP's ass, and Ekseption sucks. Even
the Nice was lightyears more enjoyable than anything ELP recorded. And
Kraftwerk only sucked for the first few albums until they invented just about
every electronic disco derivative. Not that any of that pretentious shite
holds a candle to Zolar X, though..
