Popular San Francisco band on track for early 2005 release of soph
album InsOmnia

San Francisco - February 1, 2005 -- MiGGs, the Bay Area alternative
rock band that sold -- literally from the back of a van -- over 10,000
copies of its debut release, has just announced the release date for
its upcoming sophomore album InsOmnia. The album, due out on January
25, 2005, will be released by 33rd Street Records, the coveted boutique
shop owned by Tower Records. 33rd Street will handle traditional CD
sales and promotions for the quartet, headed by the charismatic lead
singer, Don Miggs.

The album will also be released by Digital Musicworks International,
Inc. (DMI), the world's first all-digital full service music label.
The start-up, named as a hot company to watch in 2005 by Billboard
Magazine, boasts distribution deals with MSN, Sony Connect, iTunes,
Real Music Store, and others giants to deliver tracks digitally.

The two deals cement MiGGs' on-the-street reputation as "the next
big thing outta the San Francisco Bay Area," as described by the San
Francisco Herald. In addition to robust sales, the band's first CD
Anyway earned MiGGs a Gibson endorsement and plaudits in Amplifier
Magazine, billboard.com, starpolish.com, and loudenergy.com -- all
without a label backing them up.

InsOmnia, the band's second album, is produced by the legendary Gavin
MacKillop (Goo Goo Dolls, Barenaked Ladies, Sugarcult) with reknowned
mix/engineer JC Convertino (Talking Heads, Miles Davis, Madonna)
producing two additional tracks at San Francisco's new
state-of-the-art recording facility, SF Soundworks. Said one
pre-release critic, "Insomnia is a feast of intimate, honest lyrics,
unforgettable solo and harmony vocals, and music that can veer in a
heartbeat from near silence to peaks of sonic power." If 4,000 new
fans and 20,000 spins of the new music, on www.myspace.com/miggs is an
indicator, the fans love it, too.

In addition, the band's song "Be" from the album InsOmnia was
used to promote Fox's popular television drama, The O.C. . The promo
was aired during American Idol, and will be included in the upcoming
DVD release of Fat Albert. "MiGGs is on its way to garnering national
exposure, and is next in line to emerge from the prolific San Francisco
music scene," said Wiggins.

A third album (an acoustic EP) is in the works while the band gears up
for its upcoming tour. "This band is for real," said Wiggins.
"Great personality, on stage energy, a signature sound, and original
material with hit radio potential."

Heard the band was also being nominated for the Virgin College
MegaTour...But get this: they vote by a coupon. So, yeah, you can
download the Virgin Megastore 10% off coupon here:
http://www.miggsband.com/images/VCMTcoupon.pdf. Good only through March
21, 2005. And can be used on almost any merchandise.

Weird but, whatever. The band's a good one...so go for it! Use the
coupon, it'd be sweet to see them touring with CAKE and Gomez.
